What is Nasdaq?
Nasdaq is one of the world's largest electronic stock exchanges, headquartered in the United States. It is home to thousands of publicly traded companies and is particularly well known for listing many of the world's largest technology and innovation businesses.
Companies such as Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, Meta Platforms, Tesla, Alphabet (Google), and Netflix are all listed on Nasdaq. Because of this concentration of technology companies, Nasdaq has become one of the most closely watched stock exchanges globally.
Nasdaq operates entirely through an electronic trading system, allowing investors worldwide to buy and sell shares efficiently during US market hours. Its flagship benchmark, the Nasdaq Composite Index, tracks thousands of listed companies, while the Nasdaq-100 Index follows 100 of the largest non-financial companies trading on the exchange.
Through Raseed, eligible investors can access Nasdaq-listed stocks and ETFs directly from a single investment account without needing to open a US brokerage account.
