How Can I Own a Fraction of a Share?

Fractional investing allows you to purchase a portion of a company's share instead of buying one complete share. This makes investing more accessible, especially when the share price of a company is relatively high.

For example, if a stock trades at $1,000 per share, you don't necessarily need the full amount to invest. With fractional investing, you can invest $50, $100, or any other eligible amount, and you'll own the corresponding percentage of that share.

The value of your investment will rise or fall based on the stock's market performance, just like owning a full share. If the company's stock price increases by 10%, the value of your fractional holding also increases by approximately the same percentage.

Fractional investing is particularly useful for investors who want to diversify their portfolios across multiple companies rather than concentrating all their money in one stock. Instead of purchasing one expensive share, you can invest across technology, healthcare, consumer goods, ETFs, and other sectors.

Many beginner investors use fractional investing to gradually build long-term portfolios through regular contributions without needing large upfront capital.
