Why is my crypto withdrawal locked / on hold?
Sometimes a crypto withdrawal may show as locked, on hold, or pending review in your Raseed account. This is a normal security measure and usually means the withdrawal is temporarily paused while we complete automated or manual checks to protect your account and funds.
Below are the most common reasons this can happen and what you can do next.
What does “withdrawal locked / on hold” mean?
A withdrawal being locked or on hold means:
- •The withdrawal request was received successfully
- •Your funds may be temporarily reserved
- •The transaction has not yet been sent to the blockchain
- •Raseed may need additional confirmation before processing
Once the hold is lifted, the withdrawal will proceed automatically (or you may be asked to resubmit, depending on the case).
Common reasons your withdrawal may be locked / on hold
Security checks triggered
If our system detects unusual account activity (for example, a new device login, rapid withdrawal attempts, or abnormal behavior), your withdrawal may be held for verification to prevent unauthorized crypto withdrawals. This helps protect you against account takeovers and fraud.
Account verification incomplete
Withdrawals may be restricted if your identity verification (KYC) is incomplete, expired, or requires an update.
Examples:
- •Missing KYC documents
- •Document expiration
- •Name mismatch
- •Pending compliance review

Withdrawal amount requires manual review
Large withdrawals (or multiple withdrawals in a short period) may be paused for manual review, especially for regulatory and fraud prevention purposes. This is common across regulated crypto platforms.
Wrong network selected / compatibility review
If there is a network mismatch risk (for example, attempting to withdraw a token on an incompatible blockchain network), the withdrawal may be automatically paused to prevent loss of funds.

Insufficient balance due to fees
In some cases, the system may lock the transaction if your available balance does not cover the withdrawal amount plus network fees, or if asset-specific minimum withdrawal requirements are not met.

Blockchain congestion or operational delays
Even if the withdrawal request is created successfully, Raseed may delay sending withdrawals during:
- •High blockchain congestion
- •Node or provider interruptions
- •Wallet maintenance windows
- •Security upgrades
How long does a withdrawal stay on hold?
- •Automated checks: a few minutes up to a few hours
- •Manual compliance review: up to 24–48 hours
- •Exceptional cases: longer (support will advise)
What should I do if my withdrawal is locked / on hold?
Check the withdrawal status in your Raseed account
- •Open the Raseed app
- •Go to More
- •Choose History
- •Navigate to the Withdrawal section
- •Select Crypto and review the status
Confirm the network and wallet address
Make sure:
- •The wallet address is correct
- •The blockchain network selected matches your destination wallet or exchange
Helpful guide: How do I track my transaction (TXID / transaction hash)?
Note: A TXID usually appears only once the withdrawal is sent to the blockchain.
Complete any pending verification requests
If Raseed requests additional information or verification updates, submit them as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Contact Raseed Support
If your crypto withdrawal remains locked or on hold longer than expected, contact Raseed Support and provide:
- •Withdrawal amount
- •Currency
- •Intended network
- •Wallet address (if requested)
- •Screenshots of the status message
Will my funds be lost if the withdrawal is locked?
No. If your crypto withdrawal is locked, on hold, or pending review, the transaction has not been completed on the blockchain, and your funds remain protected in your account.
Once the issue is resolved, the withdrawal will either:
- •Proceed normally
- •Or be cancelled and returned to your available balance
